The Philadelphia Flyers concluded their four-game Pacific Coast road trip with a 1-2-1 record. The Flyers, who are winless in their last three games, dropped a 4-1 decision to the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center on Tuesday.

Two goals by Troy Terry (19th and 20th of the season) gave Anaheim an early 2-0 lead. Cam Atkinson (13th) narrowed the gap to 2-1 late in the first period. Sonny Milano restored a two-goal margin for the Ducks late in the second period with a power play goal (9th). The Ducks staved off a Flyers' push in the third and then Terry finished off a hat trick (PPG, ENG, 21st) to seal the final outcome.

Carter Hart stopped 26 of 29 shots in a losing cause. The first Terry was a deflection. The second was a breakaway. Milano's goal was scored from the near slot. Hart settled in as the game went along. However, John Gibson stepped up big when needed and finished with 28 saves on 29 shots.

The Flyers went 0-for-1 on the power play and 2-for-4 on the penalty kill.

Both teams were playing significantly shorthanded due to injuries and COVID-19 protocol cases. The Flyers learned earlier in the day that team captain Claude Giroux and top-pairing defenseman Ivan Provorov needed to enter protocol. For Provorov, it ended a 403-game Iron Man streak that dated back to opening night of his rookie 2016-17 NHL season.

Playing in front of his parents and other guests, Anaheim native Cam York logged 20:22 of ice time for the Flyers. He had two shots on goal, three credited hits and two blocked shots.
