Another week. Another Poll!

The Question is Simple…

Would You Take Tom Wilson on Your Team?

Wilson is listed at 6’4, 220lbs. Wilson has averaged 0.42 points per game over 597 games/nine seasons. In his last four years, he has averaged 0.71 points per game. His season stat line for this year is 9G-15A-24P. That is good for 0.86 points per game played. Other players around this similar P/GP are Mika Zibanejad (0.87), Jonathan Marchessault (0.86), , Matt Barzal (0.83), and Pierre Luc-Dubois (0.83) . Wilson’s even strength stats are 7G-12A-19P. His PP stats are 1G-2A-3P. He also has one game winning goal. Wilson has 80 hits on the season which ranks 27th in the league. Wilson plays mainly on the 2nd PP unit if the squad is at full health. For the PK, he has averaged 1:23 TOI/G this season. Wilson has a very long and lengthy history of dangerous hits and multiple suspensions. For most people, that is enough to answer a quick no for the poll. Hey, I get it. However, when Wilson’s head is on straight…the dude is a versatile playmaker and game changer on the ice. So would you take him? The choice is yours!
