Per Elliotte Friedman, Preds' GM, David Poile, will step down after this season as President of Hockey Operations and GM. The move is set to become effective June 30. Poile has been the only GM in Preds history and has made an incredible impact on the community and in Nashville's growth as a hockey market.

Continuing this surprising news, it is thought that the franchise's first head coach, Barry Trotz, is to make a return to Nashville and become the team's next GM with his role beginning immediately and to become effective June 30.

What this means for the rest of management and the team behind the bench is to be determined. What a wild day for Nashville with a lot more action to come before March 3. Stay tuned!
