Seth Jones anyone?

Quick hit after a rousing 5-4 win over Buffalo Thursday night. As much as it would be nice to talk about how meaningful this win is, sadly it is not. With the Panthers tied for last in the NHL with the Avalanche 26 points, it is very possible Florida will end up with the first overall pick in this year's NHL Draft.

The question then would be who should they pick? There is a lot of speculation on who is the "best" player in this draft.

For an organization that is quite deep on the blue line, should it be an offensive player such as Jonathan Drouin or Nathan MacKinnon? Or should they go with the best player available on most boards in defenseman Seth Jones?

If there is any silver lining to this disaster of a short season, it will be that one of those three players will be a Panther next year, and likely starting. But decisions, decisions.

If you were GM Dale Tallon with the #1 pick, which direction do you go? Is there a player that you like that is not one of these three for #1 overall?

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to the debate on this one. Connect with me on Facebook here: www.facebook.com/dan.spiegel.7

Have a great day.
