Series tied up at a game apiece as Wild/Golden Knights series shifts to St. Paul for games three and four.

It was more of same last night as both teams showed off their defensive expertise and superb goaltending. Shot blocking was again the story through the first period and much of the second before Matt Dumba broke the ice with a well aimed wrist shot through a screen beating Marc Andre Fleury and giving the Wild a 1-0 lead.

That lasted for all of 18 seconds before Jonathan Marchesault evened the game up and shortly thereafter Alex Tuch scored what would eventually be the winning goal.

Unfortunately for the Wild they could not get the game tied up, despite their efforts. Kirill Kaprizov had a tough go of it last night as he was limited in his effectiveness and ultimately took the final penalty of the game which ended all hope of a comeback and led to Tuch's second of the game with just under a minute to play, that sealed the deal for Vegas.

Taking one of the first two on the road is what any team would hope for, and that is what the Wiod have and now home ice is theirs to lose. Tomorrow night at the XCEL Energy Center, the pivotal game 3 will commence and the Wild will look to continue their home ice dominance of the Golden Knights.

Not sure if Dean Evason will juggle the lineup or lines themselves, but one would think Zach Parise would at least be a thought to replace a struggling Marcus Johansson. Parise has been a healthy scratch for each ofbthe first two games and he is being a pro about this whole situation, not to become a distraction. However, it has to be tearing him up to not be on the ice with his teammates.

Parise is going to factor into the playoffs for the Wild at some point, and that time may come soon...
