However, he continued saying "...the focus at this level is to win hockey games and get back to the Stanley Cup playoffs."

I have great respect for Jack Capuano, however, to even mention the words 'Stanley Cup' when they have yet to win a game seems somewhat (fill-in-the-blank) _______.


In yet another Islanders WTF move, Katie Strang announced via Twitter that Garth Snow has fired head coach Scott Gordon and replaced him for the time being with Sound Tigers coach Jack Capuano.

According to Ms. Strang the players were "shocked" by the news.

Supposedly Gordon will stay on as an advisor to Garth Snow. I'm thinking the only advice he will give him is not printable anywhere.

More when I can pay attention to this. Right now I'm trying to get back on track from being on vacation.
