Whenever there are winners there have to be losers.....

Here are Eklunds Losers for the 2020 Trade Deadline...

#1. Toronto

Yes, they picked up a big win last night, but anyone who has watched this team knows they needed a ton of help to be any kind of playoff threat this season and they didn't add anything to help them, while failing to move Barrie... Dubas' "Action by In-Action" style combined with his obvious fear of making mistakes and overvaluing his player's trade value has stuck the Leafs and there fans into a terrible spot. The way the team played Saturday Night was inexcusable and yet no one paid the price. And now, a few minutes ago it was announced that Jake Muzzin will miss four weeks..Not getting a D-man on Monday was already ridiculous...What's worse is they are destined for trouble as long as they continue to repeat the same mistakes...You simply can NOT go through a deadline and NOT be aggressive after all that has gone down this season..

#2. Carolina

Their #1 need was in goal. It is absurd that they didn't go out and get a Craig Anderson, or a Ryan Miller, even Louis Domingue would have been something...Last night they could have used ANY of those NHL goalies to help. They could have had Lehner, who was the perfect fit, for the first-round pick they sent to the Rangers for another D-man..Lehner was the perfect fit and could have signed there long-term. Instead, they got two middle pairing D-man and Trochek...Trochek was once a high producing hard-working player, but when a team you are battling with to make the playoffs is willing to trade you a player you should ask yourself..."Why would Florida trade Trochek to us?"

#3. Arizona

This was shocking, because they usually are active. Granted, they did get Taylor Hall earlier, but lately they have really struggled...

What's the Buzz?

Who are your Winners and Losers?

Tonigh't Picks and Updated Projected Final Standings...
Last night's Predictions: 5-8
It was a night of upsets with Calgary beating Boston and Tampa losing to Toronto...The two big upsets that our projected standings picked:Winnipeg over Washington and Montreal over Vancouver both went the other way in OT. The fun part of the predicted being wrong is that whenever that happens is when you will see the biggest shift in the projected standings..

Season So Far: 6-8

Edmonton over Vegas in OT
Pittsburgh over LA Kings
