If you are a Montreal Canadiens fan you have to be happy this morning. Not only did the Canadiens win big against the Islanders, they saw Carolina and Columbus lose ahead of them. Not many nights when the teams ahead of you lose in regulation.

I watched a lot of the the Habs/Isles and I was most impressed by Montreal’s defense, who for a second straight game showed an ability to shut down a high powered offense. It is getting hard to even get to Montreal’s goal right now…. ..and of course, once you actually get to the net, you have to face Carey Price.

And Price is very much on his game right now…

Last night we also saw Vegas continue to find another level with their 5-0 victory over a Winnipeg team that continues to find its way right now…
