Per reports, and as reported earlier by Mike Augello, Auston Matthews is reported to have tested positive for Covid-19.

This is in some ways the NHL's worst nightmare, but in actuality may be more of a result that shows how important testing is. Matthews is in Arizona still, and has plenty of time to recover from this virus as long as there are no complications... And the fact that he hasn't been with his teammates in Toronto, shows that distancing is working.

However, this is a very important player to the NHL and this could cause the NHLPA to get skittish...and understandably so...time will tell.

We have learned testing works and while it sucks Auston has this, the NHL being super cautious and methodical here is working... The games will go on...
