On Matt Murray...
Pierre LeBrun reported a few hours ago that the Oilers and Penguins had held discussions regarding Matt Murray. He also said the price (believed to be a first round pick) is too rich for the Oilers blood..
I am hearing that Calgary and Carolina are also interested in Murray (although Pitt probably won't move Murray in the division) so this sets up a really interesting situation here, where Pen's GM Rutherford could be lining up a bidding war of sorts between the two Alberta teams...
On the Flyers/Leafs talks...
There may not be two teams more perfectly matched for a trade that one source said "could happen in a matter of days." The Flyers are looking for scoring and Fletcher has liked Nylander since he was with the GM of the Wild. The Leafs also like the Flyers D and Travis Sanheim's name has popped up quite a bit...as has Gostisbehere....
