Yesterday there was an NHL article stating fourth overall pick Brady Tkachuk was going to decide by August 12th if he would be returning to Boston University for his sophomore year or sign with the Ottawa Senators and turn pro....
My source has informed me that he is "very much leaning towards a return to BU. The pressure and the upside with Ottawa probably isn't the best situation this season..."
A lot of people out there are now going to pile on the Senators for this pick....."Did they do the right thing by drafting this year or should they have given Colorado this pick and held out for a chance at Hughes?"
I don't think that's really fair here and it shouldn't be tied to Brady's decision...The 4th overall pick is in no way a sure thing to make an immediate impact in the NHL and many feel Brady will eventually be a major impact player...The fact remains this is great pick.
What do you all think?
Back later with a rumor chart update and all the latest rumors involving the many players still sitting out there....
