The interesting thing about the Bubble is motivation...Going into this bubble we had our Cup favorites and many of these teams have looked a little shaky...The Penguins are gone, the Caps are down 3-0, the Blues were one goal away from being down 3-0 (but have fought back to tie the series 2-2) Tampa is up 3-1, but that series is closer than it sounds. The Bruins struggled in the round-robin, and also against Carolina, but have found a way, like champions do, to win 3 of four...The Flyers were the top team in the East and have really battled tooth and nail against Montreal...they are up 2-1 but could be down 3-0.
The Avalanche....The Avalanche are KILLING it. They are not just beating the feisty Coyotes, they are honestly destroying them. And more than anything else, the Avalanche are the most focused team in the bubble (with notable props to the Islanders).
The Avalanche just look champion-like. They are the one team in a league of parity that appears to be able to dominate in the bubble.
Rumor Update...
DeAngelo and the Sabres(e3)..
The Rangers want to keep Anthony, but there are teams calling and it could get very interesting...Buffalo may be the most aggressive...Edmonton also has definite interest...
Dadonov...
Florida may indeed go another direction as they target two-way forwards and D...Dadonov has interest already from Detroit and Montreal....
MUCH, MUCH more to come, including a chart update after the Flyers vs. Montreal...
