Quick hit right now, with a complete rumor update and full chart update next….but i just got off the phone with a source who noted….
“There are only so many teams willing to pay a high price for a top player. Chychrun, Kane, Boeser, Horvat, Toews…. All of these p;Ayer would by themselves demand a first rounder plus a prospect, and all require some cap.creativity to be added to a team.” How many current playoff teams are willing to go there and mess with chemistry?”
This of course will really affect the asking prices, and there is a feeling now that there will be some major bargains if teams are willing to wait this out….My source added….
“Vancouver feels Horvat/Boeser are in direct competition with Kane/Toews, and since Chicago continue to tell others that they are not yet interesting in talking about Kane especially, you can be sure the Canucks are looking to jump the market ASAP.”
There is also a growing belief that extensions for Horvat and Kane will NEED to be part of any deal that gives the right kind of value…I wouldn’t be surprised if teams are already or at any minute allowed to talk to Horvat…These things rarely get out there…
