The Devils had what many thought was a great off-season heading into this year.
And yet now they are showing that they are still a young team with issues...Perhaps the biggest issue they have is who to keep as part of this rebuild?
They are getting calls on many players:
Vatanen, Simmonds, Palmieri, and Coleman.
Simmonds is easy to let go...
But the other three could be the difference in shortening this rebuild by 3 or more years.
The Devils ownership wants this turned around quickly...and sometimes the players you already had can be your best signing...This whole thing is complicated more by the fact the Devils haven't committed to Fitzgerald as anything but an interim GM...
So who is making these VERY big decisions?
