The report on Drew Doughty’s fractured ankle is extremely bad news for the Los Angeles Kings, since the former Norris Trophy winner in still a big contributor and leaves a big hole on the Kings blueline.

The question now is whether youngster Brandt Clarke can fill the void until Doughty returns later in the season. LA was considered a bubble team since they still have not adequately addressed their goaltending with Darcy Kuemper and David Rittich a subpar pairing at best.

Does the absence of Doughty knock the Kings out of the playoff picture?
