The season is barely a week old and already there are teams out there who are having internal discussions as to whether or not their goaltending will be able to take them to the promised land.
This may be a tough year for the Canadiens, but in only two games there is no question that Jake Allen is ready to be a difference maker. He is 1-1, but has a 943 save percentage. It’s not just the number that is impressive, he is stopping huge shots and great opportunities.
More than that…He is moving so well. He sees the puck and anticipates everything. He could be a difference maker.for a team in the playoffs..
I would not at all be surprised if he commands a first round pick for Montreal….especially if a team with high expectations loses their starter…
