In case you missed it, Brad Marchand, the player everyone outside of Boston truly hates, had a hat trick last night. It was the third game in a row Marchand has scored Multiple Goals…as pointed out by the NHL Network the only other Bruins to have ever done this are Bergeron, Neely, and Esposito…
Brad Marchand is 33 years old and ONLY getting better. It makes no sense at all based on the way he plays that he continues to score at this crazy pace. He has played 800 games and has 715 points and over 800 PIM in the Regular season. In the playoffs and when playing for Team Canada he also has managed to be around a point per game player, and a penalty minute per game player. Very few NHLers can make that kind of claim at nearly 1000 career games.
Stanley Cup Champ
Three Gold Medals for Team Canada at various tournaments
2 time NHL All-Star (on his way to #3 this season)
2 Time NHL first team Star
2 time NHL second team star
100 point season in 2018-19
2019-20 87 points in 70 games
2020-21 69 points on 53 games
This season….39 points in 28 games
Bruins Records..
Most OT Goals 16
Most Short Handed Goals 31
Add to that the fact that he has been the most effective player to play for Team Canada on a line with Crosby….something Canada searched a long time to find.
His career is FAR from over, so the question I ask you all today….
Is Brad Marchand going to be in the NHL Hall-of-Fame when all this is said and done?
Evander Kane to the Oilers?
The Oilers, in dire need of goaltending, appear to be the landing spot for Evander Kane…although they still don’t know if he can’t sign if he is suspended….Yet this appears to be his destination…I will update as more info is available…
