Jake Evans and injured Yanni Gourde getting Interest. 4 Nations Factor… |

Finishing up the rumor chart update for the final month before the trade deadline…
Here is what is happening now…
On Jake Evans….
It really sounds like the Canadiens are set on moving Evans and sticking to their rebuild despite the fact that the team is very much in the playoff hunt right now… the Capitals and Islanders both have interest as well as the LA Kings….
On Yanni Gorde….
Seattle Center Yanni Gorde is injured and expected to miss at least three more weeks meaning that he may not get any ice time prior to the trade deadline. However, he’s considered a really strong pick-up if you can get him, as he is the center that people have been looking for. Keep a good eye on the Red Wings here as well as Boston. Both teams are in the hunt and both teams won a center. It could be a little risky given that he might be injured still when the trade is made, but it looks like he will definitely be back this season and he is absolutely a playoff bonus having won two Stanley Cups.
On Early Trades and The 4 Nations Factor.
We have seen a lot of early trades this year, and talking around the league it appears that these trades are happening early so the teams can get these players in before the 4 nations tournament. This way players can have some time during these two weeks to practice with their team and deal with the move, possibly even move their families, which generally doesn’t happen at the trade deadline….. so I have a feeling that this week we’re gonna see something big happen…. We might be in for another fun Friday night.
More to come!
