Sources tell me today that there has been an uptick of serious chatter surrounding Flames forward Johnny Gaudreau. The Flames forward started off last season on fire and still has a lot of game left in him. A new scenario may be needed to see that potential through however..
Who is interested?
The NY Islanders.
There has been some talk that this may be the player Lou is waiting on, and not Tarasenko.
The Canadiens.
Montreal loves him and can you imagine a team with a fully functioning Gaudreau AND Caufield?
The LA Kings.
Cap issues are there, but Blake is said to be exploring creative ways top find space.
The Ottawa Senators
From on Tkachuk to another?
The Minnesota Wild.
Minnesota is very high on him, but they may be re-entering the Eichel sweeps once the medical gets straightened out..
So I asked my best source in Calgary what are the chances he gets moved at this point? The source replied via text "60-70%. There is a mutual want for this to happen..."
Would you take a shot at bringing in Gaudreau?
Arbitration Dates Set.
We have already seen some players come off this list..(Aston-Reese, Mete. Fabro) but there are still some VERY key elements here. Fiala, Sanheim and notably Saros are all major players hitting arbitration at a tough time. The later dates aren't the greatest either...some times it forces teams to hold back money and have to wait on other moves. This can lead to teams being virtually forced to walk away from rulings...
Here are the dates...

Michael McNiven (Montreal Canadiens)
Jakub Vrana (Detroit Red Wings)
August 13
Neal Pionk (Winnipeg Jets)
August 14
