Jordan Binnington is going to be a UFA at the end of this season and while the Blues are trying to sign him...it won't be easy...

A source close to the Leafs tells me they are absolutely interested in signing the goaltender to a long-term deal should he still be available at season's end...and another source tells me that Jordan, who was born and raised in the Toronto suburb of Richmond Hill, would consider it a dream come true to pull on the Leafs jersey...

The Blues know this and they will absolutely be working overtime to get an extension done...

How much it will cost the Blues is up for debate...Would he give a hometown discount the the Leafs?
