NYI & NYR battling for Puljujärvi? Lucic gone soon, BUF-CHI trade

Sabres and Blackhawks exchange prospects, Buffalo sending 2016 first rounder Alex Nylander to Chicago for defenseman Henri Jokiharju.

Jokiharju was a member of Finland's 2019 World Junior Championship club. Nylander has failed to hook on in the NHL since being selected eighth overall and is now getting a fresh start in the Windy City.

It appears the New York Rangers and the Islanders are again actively pursuing the same player...this time Jesse Puljujärvi. However I'm told the Canadiens may be the top team for him.

Edmonton, after it pays Milan Lucic his $3M bonus July 17 may have found a trade partner to see the winger gone from the Oilers.
