Rumors from Sources...

*After talking to various sources today I feel that whatever went wrong with the Heatley San Jose talks may be water under the bridge right now. The two sides are talking again, as are the Rangers and Ottawa.

*Phil Kessel to Edmonton is now a growing possibility with one source saying..."It is down to Edmonton, Vancouver, and San Jose...the Heatley domino looks to be delaying this."

*Rumors of Manny Fernandez signing a two-way deal with Montreal are rampant. This will definitely spur on more talk involving Halak to San Jose...

*I am told that the likely timeframe for Heatley is by week's end because, "One of the players who controls this wants to get his kids settled in and may not waive if it goes beyond Friday."

*The Panthers are talking to the Sabres about a deal that may involve Stafford and Horton.



*The Preds are back talking to Tanguay as well as Zherdev...
