I was all set to post my Atlantic Prediction today, but that was until I talked to a team GM who said that some people are getting differing stories around the availability of Patrick Kane. As I have been writing for a month now, teams have called the Hawks and been told that Kane was NOT available currently. This is somewhat surprising given the obvious Haw's rebuild and the value of a Patrick Kane.
Pierre Lebrun essentially said the same yesterday on TSN yesterday...
“My sense of it is that his agent, Pat Brisson, and Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson have talked and said, 'Let’s circle back to each other around December and January and see where things stand.'"
I agree with everything Pierre said...
However, the GM I talked to today, who is self-admittedly probably not going to be in on the Kane sweeps, said he talked to a contending team that had previously been told "not available" but last week was told to "call back next week. we are considering a slightly different course of action."
So still vague...but perhaps the Hawks might be considering an earlier move.
