To start, THANKS SO MUCH to all who supported the site yesterday and bought a season ticket. I can't tell you how much I, and all the writers here, appreciate your support. You are the reason the site keeps going strong as we head into our 12th year.

How much are y'all enjoying this team?
This is a great story, and for me, personally, I am loving every moment of it. Especially for the people involved down there who have been with this team through so many ups and downs. I couldn't be happier for them and the fans of this team. There is not a nicer and more welcoming group of people anywhere. I am sure they are all sitting back and loving how suddenly EVERYONE is realizing at once how great a place this is to see a hockey game.

On Alzner and the...Leafs?
There is little doubt that this is the #1 target for the Leafs, however Vegas will drive this price up to be sure...I am told the Leafs will go well over 6 per.
On Paul Byron and the.....Blues?
The Habs really want to keep Byron for sure, but they also may have to deal him or stress losing him in the expansion draft...Who is interested? I am sure quite a few teams are, but at this early date I am told the Blues are considering a pretty major package..."not bad at all for a guy the Habs got for nothing," a source joked...
On Joe Thornton and the ....Red Wings or Stars?
Chances are, knowing Joe, he will stay in NoCal if at all possible, but there are some other short term options...Hitchcock really like him and Dallas could throw a one year deal together...(despite the fact that Jim Nill is prioritizing the D)...but I also heard the Red Wings have interest in a one year deal..
