Preds Listening to offers on Juuse Saros (E4) |

I was told today that... while he's not being directly shopped... the Predators are receptive to listening to offers for Juuse Saros. Juice is not off to a great start this season but the goalie market is crazy right now.
Several teams have already floated a first-round pick for the 28-year-old, who had three VERY strong seasons in a row heading into this year. In fact, it's not even about the first rounder so much at that point but what ELSE teams are willing to add to sweeten the pot.
Edmonton is at the top of the list right now and have also heard there's interest from the Devils because New Jersey is stacked but Vitek Vanecek and Akira Schmid haven't been getting it done. I wouldn't be surprised if Carolina got involved also with Frederik Andersen out indefinitely with blood clot issues and both Antti Raanta and Pyotr Kotchetkov WAY below 90 percent in save percentage.
Also hearing the Preds would have to get an offer they couldn't say no to. They still like Saros a lot. Last thing: teams plays semantics games all the time. Saying a player isn't on the trade block does NOT mean there's no chance the player won't be moved. It means the team isn't initiating the calls. It doesn't mean if other teams call, the offer won't be considered.
