This week I will continue my preview into the play-in round, the top 4 teams, and the off-season plans for teams who will wait for the next season...I will also be awarding the winner of the much controversial "Gaudreau" deal and starting a new series involving the summer UFA's. Yes indeed, the Whiteboard in my office is stocked right now... Things are really picking up nicely as we are about to finish the dark times and head into what will be pretty much 22 straight months of hockey happiness. Long off-seasons will be a thing of the past my friend...
But rest assured that all of these fun-filled offseason distractions fall away the moment I hear anything in the rumor mill to pass along... So here you go...
Mike Hoffman to Montreal(e4)....
Now as you know, in the before times I rarely posted rumors for players still playing, but with what looks to be a SUPER short off-season, past rules must evolve...and this one comes from a source that has led us all to MANY great insights before.

Hoffman is big and great around the net. He scores and opens up space...He may not be as fast as many of the younger Habs but his touch around the net is unmistakeable. He reminds me a lot of John LeClair on plays like this one below...
He also is unquestionably leaving Florida and they know it.
