There was a point recently when the Devils appeared to be putting some pressure own the Rangers to trade for Patrick Kane earlier than they wanted to, but now, with NJ struggling the Devils look like they may be more focused on internal issues...
According to a source I trust...
"Rangers ownership has made it clear that they want Patrick Kane playing for the Rangers by the deadline and they would LOVE to extend him as well. They are laser focused on him."
There is also a widely held belief that Kane would LOVE to be a Ranger for a few years....and that is one thing this Rangers ownership has always gone for,...
I wrote yesterday that the Provorov talk appeared to be more old news than current....Well that's apparently changed. Quite a bit... There is talk of Provorov's agent coming to Philly to discuss his clients playing time and team role....and this could be why the rumors have surfaced in the mainstream media...To be clear this is absolutely NOT a case of asking for, or even requesting a trade at this point. That is not Provorov's style and I wouldn't;t expect that at all...
There are definitely teams with BIG interest including Vegas, Vancouver and Edmonton....Sione suggesting Provorov could be parti of a Horvat trade...
