Start here today. The Canucks woes are going to lead to inevitable turmoil, and the first scapegoat may turn into Bo Horvat, mainly because he is going to demand a big salary next year and the Canucks were willing to ride this out as long as they were in contention.
I for one believe that Vancouver should NOT be panicking at this point, but historically very few teams who get this few points early have much luck in the playoffs. So teams are of course already calling and trying to see if Vancouver is going to be moving on from Horvat.
So far, I am told the Devils, Senators and Sabres have interest. Ottawa’s potential loss of Josh Norris for the season and the Devils not be very lucky in the UFA market could be driving a lot of this so far.
