Caps D-man Brenden Dillon was a big deadline pickup, and kind of forgotten about because it happened a bit in advance of the deadline and also because Dillon had zero points and was a minus 2 in his ten games with the Caps.
Granted, Dillon isn't a point producer, but rather the rare and classic stay-at-home, old school, dman that you rarely see these days...He also isn't afraid to hit and has a nasty streak the Sharks very much missed this past season...
Dillon has always been a what could be called a longshot, not drafted into the NHL and a late bloomer...literally. He grew from 5'2" to 6'4" in Juniors!
Dillon can put up assists, but only has 22 goals in 598 career NHL games...
A long playoff run could showcase Dillon, who will be a UFA in November...
The Leafs and Jets both have interest I am told as both are in need of some D help that can help them hold leads...
