UFA2B: Taylor Hall

He is the biggest prize this summer...By quite a bit.

Taylor Hall was the MVP of the NHL in 2017-18. Since that season, however, his numbers have fallen off quite a bit...leaving many to question what his true value is? Injuries played a major part in that of course, but still we have never seen a player go to free agency this close to his MVP season.

Where does he want to go?

Arizona made an attempt to sign him and failed, after New Jersey failed to sign him, leaving everyone to believe Taylor wants to test free agency on July 1. I continually have heard Taylor is following the John Tavares model and may already know where he wants to sign. The rumor is Taylor Hall wants to be a Calgary Flame.

That doesn't mean he won't still test free agency and try to get the most out of Calgary… Remember John Tavares and his agent negotiated hard with the San Jose Sharks before signing in Toronto.

So what is he worth?

Are we talking about another $10-$12 million player here? With his current injury situation with anybody be willing to go to a full length of 7 year contract? I would have to think that a 7 year contract for Hall would be more in the $9 Million range, but if he wants to get more than that it would shorten the term considerably...

But am I overvaluing Taylor how a lot here? As an MVP Taylor Hall put up 93 points in 73 games. This season? 52 points in 65 games....For his career Hall has 563 points in 627 games.

The Flames are going to want to keep the number down AND get the most term...as anyone would...

What's the buzz?

On a seven year contract, How much would you pay for Taylor Hall?

All-Time Flyers:

Today, they will be taking on the All-Time Penguins...

Here is what I have so far for the All-Time Flyers:

When evaluating players, there are two rules:
1. Did they play at least one full season with the team in question?
2. How good were they when they were playing with the team in question?

Top 12 Fowards:
Clarke, Barber, Leach, Lindros, Leclair, MacLeish, Poulin, Propp, Kerr, Tocchet, Brindamour, Giroux...

Top 6 Flyers D:

Top Two Goalies: Parent and...Lindberg or Hextall?
