We are two weeks in now and this is when judgement can start to be passed...

Time for everyone's favorite game:

Who's For Real and Who's In Real Trouble?

#1. The NJ Devils...for real?

First off...taking ALL the credit I can here...In this year's blog regarding my Whacky Predictions I wrote the following...

#5. The NJ Devils will be this year’s Vegas. They are probably the closest team in style and format to Vegas. If they get Schneider to be in top form they could challenge for the division.

Truth is, they may not even need Schneider and could move him out to St Louis when he gets healthy...The Devils are 4-0-0 and a huge +13 Goal differential..They are fast and VERY Vintage Vegas like...

THE NJ Devils are FOR REAL.

#2. The Vegas Knights...in real trouble?

many saw this coming because as they said "the magic can't continue.." But honestly I saw this coming for a completely different reason.. As I wrote about...The Vegas Knights are the 30th oldest team in the NHL. Only the Kings are older...That age factor I felt would be an issue and so far it has been...

The Knights are in REAL Trouble

#3. The Chicago Blackhawks...for real?

Yes.. I picked them 3rd in the division for a reason and again from my whacky predictions...#9. Cam Ward will have the Blackhawks in the playoff hunt into January This team is still too close to being called a dynasty to just be discarded and DeBrincat is proving 100% to be the real deal.

The Hawks are...for real

#4. The St Louis Blues...in Real Trouble?

The Blues got a tough opponent to start with the Jets who were still upset about not going to the Cup Final...The Predators took too much out of the Jets or they may have won it all..Besides that the Blues lost two OT games to Chicago and a one goal game to Dallas. They beat Calgary and have some easier games coming

The Blues are NOT in Real Trouble

#5. The Montreal Canadiens....for real?

Two victories against the Penguins and giving the Leafs one of their toughest matches...the Habs are looking much better than most thought....This is too soon to tell, but as I said before the season...I didn't think any of Montreal, Ottawa or the NY Islanders would finish last in their divisions...

The Montreal Canadiens are REALLY too soon to tell...

What say you?
