In honour of GSP, Canada and USA decided to have three dust ups in the opening seconds of yesterday's North American grudge match.

Canada has but five goals in the tournament, just 2 in the last 5 periods in regulation. Lack of fire power is a concern with that kind of talent.

Say what you will about the play of Binnington but this team should be scoring. Heck Binnington even has an assist.

Simple plan tomorrow. Canada or Finland win in regulation in Boston and they are off to the finals against USA (5 points doesn't help Sweden) if Canada or Finland end up with 5.
Finland like Canada do not have a player with two goals.

I imagine the Boston crowd will like only one player on Canada tomorrow. Marchand had only 8 minutes in ice time Saturday. While Thomas Harley had plenty of ice, getting over 18 minutes.
The highlight of the game for Canada was the McDavid goal. The speed was incredible.
Connor McDavid reached a max skating speed of 22.67 mph, before scoring the game’s first goal. He ranks second in the NHL with 57 bursts of 22+ mph in 2024-25 regular season, behind Canadian teammate Nathan MacKinnon (64).

The two of them will need to have their speed on display Monday afternoon, or Canada will literally be "fin"ished.
