Well it's game day. Canada vs USA. I'm glad the Quinn Hughes situation has been put to rest. What a social media overreaction. Shocker. Americans emergency players are Tage Thompson and Brett Pesce.
They can only get their participation ribbons if the US has players out tonight.
Again, the big question going into tonight is, how healthy are the Americans?
I'm not concerned about Auston Matthews, he needs maintenance days especially after the time he's missed this season. The issue(s) are the Tkachuk brothers, who definitely are suffering after their unpleasantries with the Canadian team Saturday night. We will see what the starting line ups look like.
Canada is certainly healthy, unless you count, questionable goaltending.. Coach Cooper changing the lines for the Finland game, had everyone clicking.
My concern for Canada at this point (well yeah it's the final), they haven't scored on a goalie in the third period in any of their three games (Crosby ENG), that's it. That's when this offence should be coming to life and putting the other teams away.
Plenty of championship calibre players tonight. Canada with 19 Stanley Cups on their roster, Americans with 3. Each of the past six Stanely Cup champions (FLA, VGK, COL,TBL(2) & STL)
Not to mention that Crosby guy with three Cups.
Let's have fun tonight, appreciate the great hockey we've seen the past two weeks. Interesting, Saturday night we could see Hellebuyck against Binnington again, Jets at Blues.
Go Canada Go, bring your Eh Game tonight.
