This afternoon the Blues acquired the 27-year-old defenseman Justin Faulk from Carolina along with a 5th round pick in 2020 for defenseman Joel Edmundson, prospect Dominik Bokk and a seventh-round pick in 2021.

Compounding matters, the Blues then signed Faulk to a seven-year contract extension worth $45.5 million (annual average value of $6.5 million).

I'll have more reaction later but color this blogger as not being a huge fan of this deal and the implications it might have.
