in case you missed it, Yzerman’s post draft presser

Day 2 wrap up with Yzerman and Draper

in case you missed it, Yzerman’s post draft presser. He actually stated (essentially) that the reason for the Abdelkader buyout is that they could replace that player at a lower cost and free up some cap room. Very candid and surprising.

Red Wings post round 1 and pre round 2-7 convo

Day one of the draft was a lot of fun! Lucas Raymond was a surprise, and was outside of the 4 names the press/sm continued to circle. Yzerman has his own mind on things, and continues to prove it. Thanks to everyone who dropped in on the comments section. Today is going to be a bit more fast and furious. I will add draft picks to the front page as they come in, and let the comments keep rolling.

George Malik Did a great job laying out Detroit’s picks today. Take a look for a refresher. Thanks George!
