Detroit should be focused as they prepare to take on the Panthers. Florida shocked the East last post season, and it’s a team that can’t be ignored. The team had a good first 10 in terms of standings points average, but the goals against is still concerning.
I’m assuming Fabbri is in tomorrow as Czarnik was sent back down to GR.

Take this with a grain of salt, but it’s being speculated that Morgan Frost may be available. I don’t know where anyone in this thread is on that, but let me know your thoughts of there is interest. Calgary may have a lot of potential availability if there’s any truth to the potential “fire sale”. Lindholm and Hanifin would be names I would kick the tires on.

Detroit has a lot going on behind the scenes and an “awkward” moment was had during the Islanders game. One of the reporters may not have known because it was so recent, but they were comparing the Isles district to the hoped for “District of Detroit”. That district was sold a few days back for 9.1m to UM. Areas near the arena district (Michigan Ave and some historic sites) are dealing with city issues that aren’t bringing the best press at the moment.

I’m going to touch on The Bally broadcast having just hit a major bump, so you can skip it if you don’t want to deal with the “broadcast buzz”.

Bally had a mass outage during the past couple of days. Both NBA and NHL subscribers couldn’t use their cable/satellite login or even their regular service in several markets. I can attest it didn’t work for my login (near the Waterford area) but the cable channel was working.

The spin is all over the place on this one, if you lost the ability to watch shoot me a DM. The report was a bit “suppressed” until it came out that NHL viewership is right around 600k down from over 800k pre ESPN/Bally. It may be time to call NBC back.

Of course this all went under the radar with the Ottawa trade, firing, Winnipeg attendance issues and a few other things that are going to hit in about a week. At least one individual (leaving them anonymous) who covers the NBA admitted to having to find a pirated broadcast just to catch an away game after three other modes failing.

Things feel very transitional with some of these instabilities. The league may need to find a way to simplify how to view games and make them more accessible. If viewership goes below 600k per game there will be some serious issues.
