Ansar Khan noted that today’s morning skate at LCA didn’t feature Raymond, it looks like he’ll sit this one out and Kane will hit the ice versus Pittsburgh with Husso starting. Top line of Debrincat, Larkin and Kane will obviously get attention but will be watching line with Mazur and the line with Kasper and Motte. Tough on the PK, Mazur makes those diving plays and Kasper was strong short handed. Motte is the “journeyman” who will be looked to for defensive and PK responsibilities. Last year’s focus was adding goals for, this year they want to subtract goals against. The blue line is, well, concerning. We’ll see how they come out tonight. Husso had a good first and not good 2nd in Chicago. Cossa wrapped it up in teh 3rd.

Last night’s 2-0 win at LCA was done without the top unit. While I’d like to see Raymond in the mix tonight (skating, shooting, playmaking) it will be good to see Kane after a full summer and a camp.
