Michael Brandsegg-Nygard as most of you know by now has signed his ELC. He will spend the year in Sweden with Sandin-Pellikka as a teammate and with hope of a good year will see some post season action. It was interesting to hear some of the “chatter” around ASP as being ready to run the power play in Grand Rapids but another year in Sweden (plus the chance to be around this year’s 1st rounder) was an option that the brass seemed to be on board with.

In some very unfortunate news Vladimir Tarasenko lost his father of just 55 and it will be a tough summer for the newly acquired player. I struggled to even mention this (though most of you knew) after a memorial service for a very close family member this past weekend. It is a little too close to home right now, with thoughts and prayers headed toward the family. If you want to send a condolence card the LCA office may well accept those and deliver them to Tarasenko on your behalf. You can’t believe how much that can help.

Finally, after we’ve spoken about it in multiple articles, it’s time to start an “X” campaign to get #91 in the rafters. I tweet out these write ups, and if you’re on the platform you can repost and comment. With Pavel going to the HOF and more than likely being honored by the team, it seems like a good time to get this wrapped up.

Apologies for the short write up. Waiting for a couple of announcements (or lack thereof) and it’s the dog days for sure. Be well, all of you, and I hope you’re enjoying the summer!
