A few things to keep an eye on. Seider and Edvinsson are getting more and more reps together. That’s not necessarily something I was expecting this early in the season. The pair are (opinion) the best skating D and Mo is the clear top dog. It looks like Eddy has started to put some space between himself and others. With it looking like an 11 Forward/7 Defense setup, there will be some mixing and matching.

Kasper will make his season debut and is slated for the 3rd line center position along with 2nd power play duties. It’s a big opportunity but it comes at a rough time. After all the big moves Trotz has made as GM, Nashville did not expect to start 0-4-0 with Detroit’s only win coming against the southern mustard.

Start time is set for 2 o’clock. Per the announcement yesterday, get ready to say goodbye to the Bally’s monicker. The brand will now be “Fan Duel” as the betting site bought in to acquire the naming rights. This is now a 3 company conglomerate with Amazon, Diamond Sports and Fan Duel that still may not see the season through. The good news is that Amazon seems to be in control of the streaming portion. The bad news, ESPN and ESPN Bet probably won’t love a renewal process if it involves Fan Duel as an RSN.

It seems reasonable to expect a chippy and ill tempered go as Detroit needs another win, but Nashville really needs their first win. Buckle up, get your hot chicken and pizza puffs, this could be a rough one.
