Fan Poll Friday: The Best Hockey Gift You've Ever Received |
|

|
This edition of Fan Poll Friday will be short and sweet as I'm about to head into Boston to celebrate my 24th birthday with a few friends. So what better time to discuss a topic like gifts?
Although it wasn't a poll, the "Most Memorable Game You Attended" edition of Fan Poll Friday was my favorite to date, as many of you shared some amazing stories about your cherished experiences. So, my question for you today is this...
What is the best hockey gift you have ever received?
Maybe it came on Christmas, your birthday, Father's Day or some other other pre-determined holiday. Maybe it came out of nowhere as a complete surprise. Regardless, there's surely one that sticks out in your mind above all the rest, be it a jersey, a poster, tickets to a game....you name it.
Unfortunately from a personal standpoint I've already discussed MY favorite gift at length in the past. It was tickets from my Dad for him and I for my birthday, as we got to see Mark Messier, Pavel Bure and the rest of the Canucks take on the Bruins at the Fleet Center back in November of 1997. During the game, the first NHL contest I can remember attending, rookie center Joe Thornton got in his first pro fight with Dave Scatchard. Great times, and I'll truly never forget the whole experience.
So what hockey related gift will YOU never forget? The floor is yours. This should be fun.
