The Canadiens have just announced that Karl Alzner has decided to opt out of the return to play plan. The Habs have yet to say anything about the reasons behind Alzner’s decision and Renaud Lavoie reports that Alzner has cited personal reasons.
Considering Alzner spent most of the year in Laval, this shouldn’t be a huge blow to the Canadiens but with such a compressed schedule, the risk of injuries increases and I bet the team would like to have as much depth as the league permits with the restrictions pertaining to the number of players allowed per team in the bubble....
New faces at practice today included Tomas Tuna Tatar and Christian Folin.
