Brady Tkachuk has signed a 7 year deal for 57.5 million as per Elliotte Friedman. AAV of 8.214 on he contract extension. Breakdown of the deal as follows -
Year 1 - 4M
Year 2 - 6.5M
Years 3-5 - 10.5M
Year 6 - 8.5M
Year 7 - 7M

Tonight will be the first of 3 games in 4 nights for the Senators, as Matt Murray won't even dress tonight, so Ottawa has called up Filip Gustavsson to back up Anton Forsberg. Not the news Sens fans want on a day with positive vibes on Tkachuk signing.

Leadership group wearing an "A" are Thomas Chabot, Nick Paul, Connor Brown and yes.....Nikita Zaitsev. I didn't see the last one coming! Thoughts Sens fans?!

Let's hope for a full building tonight, regardless if it's a split fan base in the building! One thing I don't want to see is a listless 2nd period, it happened too many times last year. Ottawa needs to jump on Toronto early and often tonight. Montreal outhit Toronto last night 32-14.
