First off, a quick thank you to those who entered the Sens ticket contest! I have a few ideas for contests moving forward, but I would like all of you to post ideas that you would like to see for upcoming contests in the comment section!

When looking at the Ottawa Senators' upcoming schedule, it certainly is a bizarre start to the season. Ottawa has four games in the next two weeks, three of them coming at home. Then when November 1st hits, the Sens play an incredible 15 games in 27 days! During that stretch nine of them are on the road so let's hope Matt Murray is over his illness and can provide elite goaltending because, with this defense, Ottawa can ill afford to have a rough November. I guess Ottawa has a little better right now because if you were the Boston Bruins, somehow the schedule maker has the Bruins playing once in the first week of the season!

With Brady Tkachuk returning to the line-up on Thursday night against San Jose, which player do you feel should come out of the line-up? How do you see the forward group lining up this Thursday?

As for Alex Formenton, I find it very interesting how DJ Smith is holding this young player accountable for a few mistakes in the last two games but doesn't use the same logic for Nikita Zaitsev. Formenton has been benched for an entire period and saw the second least amount of ice time yesterday against Dallas. For a young player, I certainly hope this doesn't affect his confidence. I thought he had one of the better pre-seasons on this roster and played well in the first few games. The conflicting message continues with this coach and I certainly hope Alex is afforded the same rope as Zaitsev moving forward!

Lastly, with yesterday's attendance at the CTC, many fans have offered their opinions on why this happened and could continue to happen moving forward. There were valid reasons posted both in the comment section of the blog and on Twitter. What I would like to know is, if you could talk to Eugene Melnyk for just five minutes, what would you tell him he needs to do, to get the building back to being full as it once was. The reason I ask is I want to take in all the info and do an open letter to the owner, post it here on hockeybuzz and send it to the Sens front office. I will put something together tomorrow night and post it Wednesday before the three-game homestand.

I know how much this fan base cares about its team here in Ottawa. I feel it's time the owner addresses the many problems that have occurred off the ice, acknowledges his mistakes once and for all, so fans can focus on the on-ice product moving forward!

Thanks for reading.
