A few notes:
Chadd Cassidy will remain head coach of the Amerks. He took over as head coach when Ron Rolston got called up to Buffalo last year.

Regier also said that Buffalo didn't originally plan on buying out Nathan Gerbe, but his agent had expressed concern about #42's opportunity in Buffalo. The Sabres considered sending him to the minors, but that would not have worked out, especially considering Gerbe wanted more.
3rd jerseys
The Sabres are really doing a great job keeping the third jersey a secret.
Icethetics tweeted a sneak peek of the jersey about an hour prior to today's scrimmage:
When I first saw this, it reminded me exactly of the slug jerseys. It looks like the same colors and I didn't mind them. It was the actual logo that was the problem.
Jhonas Enroth tweeted the Sabres account asking for a peek of the jersey. You know when a player asks to see it, it's really top secret.
This photo was tweeted by Carl Lester, although it may not be exactly what the thirds will look like, it gives a good idea of would they could be. I could see those working out, but I'm wondering if the Sabres will actually keep their regular logo as the crest for the 3rds.
