Cats Look To Continue Hot Streak Against CBJ |

Here with a quick hit because it’s a fast turn around for the Cats as they take on the Bluejackets tonight after crushing the Stars 7-1 yesterday.
Speaking of last night…
If the Panthers can maintain that kind of play, it’s going to be tough for any team to compete with them. That win was a demonstration in dominance and it was very fun to watch.
What stood out most to me from the win was Florida’s confidence on the blueline in the offensive zone. Panthers’ defensemen, and forwards alike, did a great job of holding/keeping the puck in the zone, but also walking the line to buy time for Cats’ players to get into position, while getting Dallas’ players out of position as they chased the puck carrier (or “holder” in this case).
Like Jovo said, normally that kind of play is really risky. You would rather have them dump the puck in deep and battle for it, but you could tell the Cats had their confidence dial set to 11 - it looked like they felt they could do anything they wanted and I think that made the difference in the game.
Enjoy this moment, guys. You have Huby, Duclair, Bennett, Barky, Lundell, Bob, and the supporting cast firing on all cylinders.
The Panthers have 55 points and #1 in the following areas:
- Points Percentage
- Goal Differential
- Goals For
Yep. It’s a special time in Florida hockey!
Let’s keep extending that point streak!
