A nasty third period collapse cost the Panthers a 3-2 loss to the hated Boston Bruins on Tuesday night.
What can you say, really? That type of L should not happen. Allowing three goals in roughly eight minutes…c’mon, man…
That loss ended the Cats’ six-game winning streak.
TONIGHT
Florida will look to bounce back from that nightmare against the 39-22-3 Toronto’s Maple Leafs when they head North of the boarder tonight.

The Maple Leafs are opening a four-game homestand after returning from a three-game stint out west which saw them drop games to the Vegas Golden Knights and Colorado Avalanche before they nipped the Utah Hockey Club 4-3 in a shootout on Monday. Toronto will look to avenge a 5-1 loss to the Panthers in late November and regain the top spot in the division.”
Our Cats will have their hands full with the likes of Mitch Marner, William Nylander, Auston Matthews, John Tavares and Matthew Knies. Each of these guys has 20 goals or more, and they all combine for 35 PP goals.
Not only that, but they could see former-fan favorite Anthony Stolarz in the opposite blue paint. Stoly is 13-6-3 this season and playing solid hockey.
No doubt about it…tonight is going to be a really fun game and should have a serious playoff atmosphere to it.
