Argh…today’s blog I was working on got accidentally deleted, so I’m here with a quick one because I can’t retype everything [insert angry face]
The Cats are coming off two consecutive loses to the New Jersey Devils, where they surrendered 10 goals (yikes).
Things will not be any easier tonight as they faceoff against the best team in the league, the Winnipeg Jets.
If you haven’t been paying attention, the Jets are an absolute unit (as the kids say these days). They are a juggernaut in the league, setting an NHL record for being the first team to win its first 14 of 15 games. They are currently 15-2-0.
Now, they’re coming off a 4-1 loss to Tampa earlier this week. I watched that game and, not taking away from TBL who did a good job of taking advantage of WINN’s mistakes, but it was more so the Jets beating themselves than anything.
Winnipeg moves the puck extremely well and has a nasty PP. They had uncharacteristically bad turnovers and PP’s versus the Lightning. I do not expect to see that again tonight against Florida. Winnipeg is simply too good to let that happen again.
Bob gets the nod (thankfully) and the Panthers have a chance to bounce back and gain a lot of confidence if they can beat the Jets.
I expect a very fast and very entertaining game tonight when two of the top dogs go at it in South Florida!
