That’s Hard Times! FLA vs OTT |
|

The Panthers are 2-7-1 in their last 10 games and a far cry from the team they were during the we first half of the season. As Dusty Rhodes would say, “That’s hard times, daddy!”
While it’s difficult to put a finger on exactly what the issue is, fans know something is off. In fact,
The Hockey Guy attempts to break down/explain the recent struggles as he sees it.
It’s a solid, in depth video that has a lot of info related to the Panthers recent struggles, so I’ll let you guys watch and formulate your own opinions. One thing I agreed with was that I do think the recent stretch of poor/frustrating play is just a blip on the season. I believe we have seen too much good from these guys this year to think it’s all going down the toilet in front of our eyes.
Then again, we have seen strong teams crumble in the lead up to, and in, the postseason…
Someone brought up a good point in the comments of the video to counter THG’s point of giving a pass to the Cats on losing to good teams. The comment argued that losing to good teams is very concerning this time of year, since these are the types of teams Florida will be playing against come playoff time. It’s a good point and every game against these good teams is a bench marker for where the Panthers stand against higher level competition, and right now it’s not looking too hot…
Even Maurice seems to be at a loss for words during this stretch.
Florida will need to put all the bad mojo on the backburner and get ready for the game tonight against a Senators team that is playing a pretty good brand of hockey recently.
Per
Litter Box Cats:
“
The Senators aren’t going to the playoffs, but they are playing much better hockey as of late, winning a season-high, five-straight games before they were beaten 3-2 by the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center on Tuesday. They’ll be looking to post their first win over the vulnerable Cats this season after a 5-0 loss in November and 3-2 overtime defeat in February. He won’t reach 90 points like he did last season, however, the dangerous Tim Stutzle is still the team’s leading scorer with 70 points.”
I like how these lines are looking for the tilt:
