Last summer, there seemed to be some doubt whether the Toronto Maple Leafs longtime radio broadcast team of Joe Bowen and Jim Ralph would return to the airwaves, but during the summer they indicated that they would be back, but last summer, the tandem returned and broadcast every home game from the Foster Hewitt press box at Scotiabank Arena, but did not travel with the club until the playoffs.
After the Leafs were eliminated by Boston, Bowen tweeted:
“Thanks to all of the Leaf fans who chose to listen to @Jim_Ralph and myself on the
@MapleLeafs radio network this season. A terribly disappointing ending to a great season. We look forward to next year but I admit I’m running out of opportunities.”
It appears that the tandem will have another opportunity this upcoming season, as Bowen confirmed on social media on Friday that he and Ralph would be back next season.
