Trade deadline eve. Nine games in the NHL tonight. I think that's a song by Def Leppard and Tim McGraw. Oh wait, that's Nine Lives.
The Leafs did it again last night. Scored two goals and lost. Amazing, they outshot Vegas 16-8 in first period and were down 3-0. Time to hit the nickle slots.
Back to last game, Leafs allowed 7 straight goals by their opponent before retaliating.
Matthews and Marner lit the lamp, good to see Eminem on the score sheet.
Woll was yanked after the third goal, it was on the seventh shot. Three goals against on seven shots, not even good in shinny hockey. Leafs are in Denver Saturday, so a two day break to think about what they've done the past two games.
What do the Leafs need at the deadline, besides having the Bruins traded to another division?
Speaking about, reflecting on what they've done lately, one of the teams responsible is in Denver tonight. Avs host the Sharks. Leafs could use a d-man, that's for sure. They have very little cap space so it would have to be bodies for bodies deal. Moving a draft pick doesn't make cents/sense. They'd have to get a team to participate in retaining some cabbage.
